UQ Latin American Association

LASA is a society from within the University of Queensland that celebrates Latin American culture.

Our mission is two-fold: First, LASA brings together students of all different background to explore their passions for Latin American culture.

We foster international relationships and encourage diverse partnerships in both social and professional situations.

LASA's second pillar is to create a 'home away from home' for our Latin American students. We provide a support network for these students by facilitating fortnightly catch-up lunches and social sports teams along with a range of events that partner with Latin American businesses around Brisbane (i.e. salsa nights, LatAm film festivals).

LASA takes pride in championing Latin American culture in Brisbane, and is excited for a busy year connecting with our 150+ members.
